Who Do I Sign the Rental Contract With?
When booking a monthly rental through Well Travel, you sign the rental agreement directly with the property host, not with Well Travel.
The host can be the property owner or an authorized real estate agent or agency representing the owner. In all cases, the person or company signing the agreement on the host side is the legally responsible party for the property.
Well Travel is not a party to the rental contract.
How the Rental Contract Is Signed
All long-term rental agreements are signed online through the Well Travel platform. The contract is concluded directly between the guest and the verified host.
At the time of signing, both sides complete identity confirmation. This includes selfie verification matched against previously submitted identification documents. The purpose is straightforward: to ensure that the contract is signed by the real person who has already been verified during the listing process.
This additional identity check helps reduce risk in remote bookings, especially for international guests renting an apartment in Southeast Asia before arrival.
What Is Well Travel's Legal Position?
Well Travel operates as a monthly rental marketplace. Our registered legal entity, WT International Co., Ltd., is based in Vietnam, and the platform operates under publicly available terms (public offer and policies on the website).
However, we do not act as the landlord and we are not a contracting party in the rental agreement. The legal relationship under the lease or rental contract exists directly between the guest and the host.
Our role is to provide the digital infrastructure, identity verification system, and booking coordination that structure the long-term rental process.
Why This Structure Is Used
Signing directly with the host ensures that the responsible party for the property is clearly identified and legally accountable under the rental agreement.
At the same time, the platform adds a layer of verification and transparency. Both guest and host identities are confirmed, and the agreement is executed in a structured online environment rather than through informal messaging.
This model keeps the legal framework simple while adding operational safeguards for monthly rentals.
In Summary
When renting through Well Travel, you sign the rental contract with the verified host, either the property owner or their authorized representative. The agreement is signed online, both parties confirm their identity, and the legal responsibility rests with the host.
Well Travel operates the marketplace under its registered Vietnamese entity but is not a party to the rental contract itself.
